How to reach us
We're in Manarola, the second village of Cinque Terre coming from La Spezia. You can reach Manarola by car from La Spezia (20 Km) by the State Route S.S. n°370 "Litoranea delle Cinque Terre". The motorway exit is called "LA SPEZIA-S.STEFANO MAGRA"** on the A12 Genova-Livorno or A15 Parma-La Spezia. From the gate, follow the signs for La Spezia and once in town proceed along the seaside finding the signs for CINQUE TERRE-Portovenere. At a certain point these two directions will divide: you will proceed straight up the slope in the of direction Manarola-Riomaggiore. The last 14 km of your journey will bring you past Riomaggiore and then to Manarola.
View the video: how to reach us by car ***Note that driving from Genova over the A12, you will find signs for "Cinque Terre" also at the gates 'Brugnato' and 'Carrodano'. However, the recommended exit for the shortest and most simple way to Manarola is La Spezia S. Stefano Magra; the others may be used to reach Monterosso.
- ABOUT PARKING:Cinque Terre historical centers are closed to car traffic, that means no one (not even residents!) can enter the towns with private cars except for a brief time to load/unload with a permit. At the end of the State Route S.S. n°370 from La Spezia, just outside of Manarola there's a pay for parking square which is around 400 meters away from our house. You can park the car for free as well along the road (respecting the no-parking signs in the curves!); the distance depends on where you find a spot and how crowded the village is at that time. Once you've parked the car , we suggest that you not use it to get around along the coast as it is difficult and there are many other options for transport between the villages. Most guests (unless using the car for further away excursions) use the care again upon departure. We want to let you know that parking in Manarola may be not easy (even if possible), especially during the high peaks of the season (summer period, week-ends, Easter). There’s generally a frequent rotation of cars as people come and go and if parking is full upon your arrival, you simply have to wait few minutes for a spot to become available.
The bus service is included in the "Cinque Terre Card".
You can reach Manarola by train (along the line Genova-Rome) with regional trains which stop in every station in the Cinque Terre. To check the official timetable of Italian railways click here! An international (european) train timetable is available on the site www.bahn.de
Once you exit the train station tunnel in Manarola, turn right, as in the link, and start walking uphill (it is a good climb” to the church square. Pass the church and you will find a stairway to the right of a small river leading to the road Via Rollandi. After a few meters you’ll find our entrance on the left, number 29.
If you think that it will be too hard for you to carry your stuff from the parking you can contact the luggage transfer service at the number: 348 6862543 (Paolo). The service in available from 8am to 8pm during high season. The price depends on the number of the suitcases.
